GRANTEE STORY

Higher Purpose Hub

Driving economic growth and intergenerational opportunities

2025 Civic Hub Grantee

The Higher Purpose Hub (HPH) is a regional nonprofit intermediary focused on improving intergenerational economic opportunity across the Mississippi Delta, which includes 20 counties and is home to an estimated 500,000 residents. Over the next ten years, the Higher Purpose Hub is working collaboratively with local partners to reduce poverty in the region by 10 percent.

HPH works to create equitable opportunities and partners with community leaders to build multi-sector solutions, elevate authentic stories, and direct financial resources to drive economic growth, while making sure the underestimated possibilities for youth, women, and Black residents are heard, celebrated, and uplifted.

“Our work, developed with strategy, joy, and courage, focuses on rural and underestimated Mississippi Delta communities. We aim to improve quality of life, build mobility pathways, and accelerate non-extractive capital deployment.

– Dr. Tim Lampkin, Executive Director
Higher Purpose Hub

The Higher Purpose Hub will utilize its Trust for Civic Life funding to support the three programs which includes the Higher Purpose Center, Higher Purpose Network, and the Higher Purpose Fest. Each program will be supported by staff working in partnership with community leaders to create system change across the Mississippi Delta.
