The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) is a regional community foundation – the first and only community foundation serving all 32 counties of Appalachian Ohio. Serving as a home for a community of donors and doers, the foundation works with partners to create opportunities for the people and communities in the region. Founded in 1999, the foundation steward more than 700 charitable funds, totaling $133 million in assets.

The Trust funding will help FAO continue to invest in community builders, facilitate partnerships, support collective giving, and leverage the “science of hope.”
